Macusani Yellowcake Inc.

Macusani Yellowcake Inc. is engaged in the exploration of uranium concessions in the Puno District in southeastern Peru. It holds interests in a number of mineral properties in the following areas: Macusani, Munani, Lagunillas, and Rio Blanco. Founded in 2006, the company is based in Toronto, Canada. All exploration has been carried out on the Macusani Plateau.

Macusani Yellowcake’s primary uranium targets lie in the Macusani volcanic plateau. The plateau covers about 21,000 km2 and contains ignimbrites (volcanic flows) that are enriched with secondary uranium. The company’s holdings cover almost 12% of this area. The targets are large, low-grade, near-surface uranium deposits. Initial metallurgical work indicates that plus 90% of the uranium can be recovered while capital and operating costs for an open-pit mine on the plateau are expected to be low. Drilling began in Macusani in July 2007.

Macusani Yellowcake’s initial exploration targets – Colibri 2 and 3 – were drilled. A 43-101 resource report was issued and a preliminary Economic Assessment is being carried out on theses properties.

In 2009 Macusani Yellowcake acquired two properties – Corachapi and Kihitian.

Results announced in September 2009 of drillings on the recently acquired Corachapi property on the Plateau returned significant high-grade uranium mineralization over long intervals including 49.0 meters grading 0.0508% U3O8 (161 feet grading 1.016 pounds of U3O8 per ton). In December 2009, adit sampling in the in the Pinocho zone of the Kihitian property on the Plateau returned more extensive high-grade uranium with average values of 0.554% U3O8 (11.09 lbs U3O8 per ton).

The Macusani team is well experienced. Chairman of the Board Alan Ferry has had dual careers in the investment industry and as a geologist, mainly in uranium exploration. His expertise lies in mining analysis, mineral economics, and corporate finance. Peter Hooper, President, is a senior mining executive with broad experience in production, engineering, reorganization and training, contracting, exploration, and corporate affairs. Mr. Hooper was general superintendent of Saskatchewan’s Beaver Lodge Uranium Mine 1978-1981, which produced 4,000,000 lbs of uranium per annum; during Mr. Hooper’s tenure, the mine was modernized and mechanized. Dr. Laurence Stefan is managing director of the Peruvian operation. He has extensive operational experience in exploration, processing, pilot mining, legal evaluation, labor, and social interaction in South America. Dr. Stefan heads an experienced Spanish-speaking ground team (formerly Harmony Gold’s Peru team) with ten years of exploration and drilling experience.

Macusani Yellowcake Inc. (YEL) trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange with 41,731,284 shares outstanding.
